One Friday Fights 131: Decho Levels With Suriyanlek, Yunusov Remains Unbeaten

A Night of Excitement at ONE Friday Fights 131
The world’s largest martial arts organization concluded October with a thrilling edition of ONE Friday Fights 131, which was broadcast live in Asia primetime on October 31. The event once again brought the vibrant city of Bangkok to life, featuring 12 high-stakes matchups across Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA. Fighters from around the region showcased their skills, battling for pride, redemption, and the opportunity to secure a life-changing contract on the main roster.
If you missed the action, here's a breakdown of the highlights from the main event and other standout fights that took place in the Thai capital this past Friday.
Decho Avenges Loss to Suriyanlek in a Three-Round War
In the main event of the evening, Decho Por Borirak made history by avenging his previous loss to Suriyanlek Por Yenying in a highly anticipated rematch in the flyweight Muay Thai division. The 22-year-old fighter secured a decisive unanimous decision victory, marking his 48th career win and leveling their rivalry at one apiece.
The first round saw Decho using his kicks to set the pace, but Suriyanlek remained resilient with his looping overhand right. In the second round, Suriyanlek opened up with a three-strike combination, but this left him vulnerable. Decho seized the opportunity, driving a knee into Suriyanlek’s ribs and then dominating the clinch with more knees to the body and head.
This shift in momentum proved crucial. In the final round, Decho controlled the exchanges with composure, punishing Suriyanlek every time he advanced. He added elbows late in the round to emphasize his dominance. All judges agreed on the outcome, giving Decho the unanimous decision and a well-earned victory.
Yunusov Shuts Down Petsukumvit Early to Stay Perfect
Another standout performance came from teenage striking sensation Rustam “Tomahawk” Yunusov, who maintained his perfect record with a first-round finish against two-time Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion Petsukumvit Tomthungyai in the flyweight Muay Thai division.
At just 18 years old, Yunusov demonstrated his precision and power. He allowed Petsukumvit to advance before swiftly countering with a clean one-two, followed by a left high kick and a left hook. This sequence sent Petsukumvit crashing to the canvas, and despite a brief attempt to rise, the referee called an end to the fight at 1:44 of the opening round.
With this victory, “Tomahawk” extended his record to 15-0, including six wins under the ONE Friday Fights banner. His performance brings him closer to the coveted US$100,000 main roster contract.
