ONE Friday Fights 132: A Night of Explosive Combat in Bangkok
On November 7, the world’s largest martial arts organization makes a return to Bangkok, Thailand, for another electrifying edition of its weekly Asia primetime event series. This installment, known as ONE Friday Fights 132, promises to deliver 12 high-octane matchups across both Muay Thai and MMA, with fighters vying for a life-changing US$100,000 contract and a coveted spot on ONE Championship’s main roster.
The main event of the night features a highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai clash between two elite technical strikers—Kompet Sitsarawatsuer and Abdallah Ondash. Both fighters are expected to bring their best to the ring, showcasing their skills in what is set to be an intense battle.
Kompet Sitsarawatsuer, a 25-year-old fighter from Thailand, has an impressive record of 90 wins. He is a two-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion, known for his impeccable timing and devastating body kicks. After a unanimous decision victory over Kongchai Chanaidonmueang at ONE Friday Fights 114, Kompet is looking to continue his climb toward a lucrative deal with ONE Championship.
Opposing him is Abdallah Ondash, a 24-year-old Lebanese striker with a record of 22-2. Known for his calculated punching and lightning-fast footwork, Ondash has emerged as one of the division’s most dangerous finishers. His recent second-round knockout of Singdomthong Nokjeanladkrabang at ONE Friday Fights 112 has solidified his reputation. Coming from a fighting family alongside his brother Ramadan, Ondash fights to build their legacy.
In atomweight Muay Thai action, contracted fighter Vero faces China’s Li Mingrui in a clash between two aggressive strikers. The 29-year-old “Kayan Leopard” from Myanmar has 28 wins under her belt and is known for her relentless style. Inspired by Chinese action movies, Vero transitioned from boxing to Lethwei before becoming the first female fighter from her country to compete in ONE Championship.
Li Mingrui, a 27-year-old southpaw, brings a relentless pressure-fighting style with powerful punches and spinning back kicks that catch opponents off guard. Known as “Miracle Girl,” she uses her footwork to control the ring and cut off her opponent’s escape routes, making the space smaller for them to operate.
Another notable matchup is between Khunponnoi Sor Sommai and Thant Zin in a flyweight Muay Thai bout. Khunponnoi, the younger brother of Seksan Or Kwanmuang, has 125 wins and is riding a five-fight winning streak. Known for his ruthless aggression and devastating straight left, he has 27 knockout victories to his name.
Thant Zin, a 21-year-old fighter from Myanmar, carries 26 wins and is determined to bounce back after recent setbacks. His aggressive Lethwei-influenced style and dangerous low kicks make him a formidable opponent.
Other bouts include a strawweight Muay Thai rematch between Watcharaphon Laochokcharoenratchasi and Maisangkum Sor Yingcharoenkarnchang, as well as featherweight Muay Thai action featuring Otis Waghorn of the United Kingdom against Bulgaria’s Rado Popa.
In the MMA competition, Brazil’s Jean Carlos Pereira faces Sweden’s Oliver Axelsson in a lightweight clash, while Germany’s Adele Niebel takes on Japan’s Norika Ryu in strawweight action.
ONE Friday Fights 132 also showcases fighters from Morocco, New Zealand, Lebanon, and Laos, highlighting the global reach of ONE Championship.
