How Michelle Heaton, 46, Maintains Her Pop Star Body

Michelle Heaton's Fitness and Diet Routine for an Upcoming UK Tour

Michelle Heaton, the 46-year-old star of Liberty X, is preparing for a big tour next year that will take her across the UK performing a medley of girl band hits. In a recent conversation with the Daily Mail, she shared how she maintains her energy and stamina for such a demanding schedule.

Michelle revealed that she starts her day at 6 am with a cup of coffee delivered to her bed by her husband, Hugh Hanley. After getting her children, Faith, 13, and AJ, 10, ready for school, she heads to the gym for two hours of fasted cardio in the morning.

"I like high impact classes," Michelle said. "I like to have people around me. I feel like you push yourself more."

Her favorite workouts include full-body HIIT sessions and high-energy classes that combine athletic and martial arts-based movements. She also ensures she does strength training twice a week as part of her routine.

After her workout, Michelle enjoys breakfast, typically consisting of zero-fat yogurt mixed with frozen berries, zero-calorie flavor drops, and a protein bar. She mentioned that breakfast is her favorite meal of the day, so she makes a large portion and then grazes on fruit or a chicken breast with salad for lunch.

Being a pet owner also keeps Michelle active, as she takes her dogs, Skye and Bella, for long walks during the day.

In the afternoon, she satisfies her sweet cravings with a Diet Coke and a protein bar. She often finds herself snacking on leftovers from her children’s dinner.

Her dinner comes later when her husband returns from work. Michelle usually has a jacket potato with lean mince and gravy. She explained, "We have potatoes with every dinner. It's the best carb you can have, the lowest sugar, the lowest calorie." The couple also tries to include fish in their meals twice a week.

Preparing for the Ultimate Girl Band Show

Michelle is currently training for her upcoming production, the Ultimate Girl Band Show, which will start in January in Hornchurch and end in October in Chatham. The show features West End singers performing the biggest anthems from iconic girl bands such as Spice Girls, TLC, and Pussycat Dolls.

Discussing the tour, Michelle shared, "I've been waiting for almost 14 years to do a tour. It was never the right time because of the kids. I still gig with Liberty X, but to go out on tour and commit to a long time, I had to wait until the kids were at high school because my husband works full-time."

She added, "I just want to have fun on stage and sing songs that empower women. It's a good one for me, and I just feel really privileged that I get to go out and do what I love."
