K-Pop Star's Health Update After Collapse

K-pop singer Hyuna has publicly apologized to her fans after she fainted during a performance at the Waterbomb 2025 Macau music festival. The artist, known for her hit "Trouble Maker," collapsed while performing her song "Bubble Pop!" on stage.

Footage of the incident shows Hyuna, whose full name is Kim Hyun-ah, dancing with her backup dancers before suddenly falling to the ground. Immediate assistance was provided, and she was quickly taken offstage by a security guard. This incident has raised concerns among fans about her health and recent weight loss.

In October, Hyuna shared a post on social media where she expressed her intention to lose weight. A follow-up update on November 4 revealed that she had lost 10kg in just one month. Before this, fans had speculated whether she was pregnant, as they noticed a change in her appearance following her marriage to Yong Junhyung.

After the incident, Hyuna took to social media to update her fans on her health and express her apologies. She said, “I’m really sorry. It was a short break between performances, but I wanted to show you my best. I don’t remember anything that happened, and I feel like I wasn’t professional.” She also added, “I’ll try to build my strength and keep working hard. It would be great if everything went the way I want, but I’ll try. I want to thank you for loving and supporting me from when I was so young until now.”

Fans have responded with an outpouring of support, with many expressing their concern for her well-being. One fan, Not_a_swallowtail, wrote, “I’m rooting for you because you’re human and not perfect. Even professionals will collapse if they push themselves too hard. Take your time, and it’s okay to wait until you’ve fully recovered.” Another fan, M_amelien, commented, “We only care about your health unnie. we love you so please take care 🫶🏻🥹✨.”

Many fans have urged Hyuna to prioritize her health, emphasizing the importance of rest between performances. Allemood wrote, “Hyuna🥹🥹🥹 ur health comes first. We, ur fans, will always support u no matter what💗.” This sentiment was echoed by many others who expressed their concern for her well-being.

This is not the first time Hyuna has experienced fainting episodes. Earlier, the release of her album "I’m Not Cool" was delayed due to vasovagal syncope, according to her former label P Nation. Vasovagal syncope is a type of fainting caused by a drop in blood pressure, often linked to prolonged standing, heat, stress, dehydration, or pain.

Fans continue to show their support for Hyuna, hoping she can recover fully and return to the stage stronger than ever. Their messages highlight the deep bond between the artist and her fans, who are eager to see her thrive both personally and professionally.
