Riyadh to Host UNIDO 2025 Sustainable Industry Conference

Global Industry Summit to Forge New Partnerships and Drive Investment
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is set to host a major global event that will bring together key players from around the world. The 21st Session of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) General Conference is scheduled to take place from 23–27 November 2025 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Centre. This conference is a crucial platform for transforming industrial policy into actionable strategies. With the theme "The power of investment and partnerships to accelerate the SDGs," it aims to foster inclusive industrial growth and sustainable development.
Preparing for a Global Gathering
Before the main conference, there will be another significant event: the LDCMC11, a ministerial conference focused on the Least Developed Countries. This event, which will take place on 22 November, will emphasize investment, innovation, and transformative industrial policies. It serves as an essential platform to turn discussions into real policy outcomes, forming alliances and deals that can drive industrial progress across both advanced and emerging economies.
A Collaborative Platform for Action
The summit is structured as a five-day program designed to move participants from high-level strategy to practical execution. The agenda, which is soon to be published, includes plenary sessions, ministerial roundtables, focused solution talks, and interactive exhibitions. These activities will center around the mission of mobilizing capital, scaling advanced technologies, and forming cross-border partnerships to accelerate sustainable and resilient industrialization globally.
There will be dedicated spaces for business-to-business, business-to-government, and government-to-government engagement. These interactions are intended to ensure that every meeting results in concrete outcomes that contribute to the broader goals of the summit.
Strategic Timing and Significance
The timing of the summit adds to its global significance. Riyadh will also host the 11th Ministerial Conference of the Least Developed Countries (LDCMC11) on 22 November, immediately before the General Conference. This consecutive scheduling creates a vital link between policy dialogue and tangible outcomes. It allows ministers to advance the implementation of UNIDO's Operational Strategy for LDCs, particularly in areas such as technology transfer, value-chain development, and productive capacity building. This ensures that industrial transformation delivers real benefits to the world's most vulnerable economies.
A Powerful Coalition of Participants
As registration opens, UNIDO and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia look forward to bringing together a powerful coalition of member states, international organizations, private-sector leaders, academia, and civil society. This diverse group of participants will contribute to meaningful discussions and collaborations that can shape the future of industry.
