Sustainable Fashion Takes Center Stage at Hong Kong Summit from Nov 12 to Dec 2

Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2025: Illuminating the Art of Sustainable Fashion

The annual Asian fashion event, Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2025, is set to take place from 12 November to 2 December 2025. Organized by the Clothing Industry Training Authority (CITA) and supported by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, this year's edition carries the theme "Illuminate the Art of Sustainable Fashion." The event aims to foster a cross-disciplinary dialogue between sustainable fashion and art, highlighting innovative approaches to integrating artistic aesthetics with sustainable development.

The International Conference and fashion show will be held on 1 December and 2 December respectively at the Hong Kong Palace Museum. This gathering will bring together global leaders, scholars, and sustainability experts to discuss the future of sustainable fashion. Through in-depth discussions on topics like the artistic application of sustainable materials and the integration of culture and arts into design, the conference seeks to promote innovation and collaboration across industries.

International Conference and Fashion Show at the Hong Kong Palace Museum

The International Conference will take place on 1 December at the Hong Kong Palace Museum, West Kowloon Cultural District. It will run from 09:30 to 17:00, with doors opening at 09:00. Participants can register for free via https://www.fashionsummithk.com/onlineReg. The following day, a fashion show will be held at the same venue from 18:00 to 19:00, with doors opening at 17:30. Fashion Exhibition in Central: A Celebration of Sustainable Design

From 12 to 29 November, the Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) 2025 Fashion Exhibition will be held at The Rotunda in Exchange Square, Central. The exhibition will showcase sustainable fashion collections from 11 renowned designers representing regions such as the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, the UK, Italy, France, and Korea. Alongside the exhibition, a series of interactive workshops titled "Arts in Fashion" will take place from 15 to 29 November.

These workshops include:

  • Peace Knot Shoe Charm Workshop – Learn to create unique shoe charms using traditional knotting techniques.
  • Intangible Cultural Heritage Woven Bamboo Coaster Workshop – Explore the art of weaving bamboo into functional and decorative coasters.
  • 3D Fashion Collage Workshop – Experiment with creating three-dimensional fashion collages.
  • Upcycled Lace Jewellery Workshop – Transform discarded lace into elegant jewelry pieces.
  • Handwoven Flower Keychain Workshop – Craft delicate keychains using handwoven floral designs.
  • Handwoven Bowknot Hanging Ornament Workshop – Create hanging ornaments using traditional bowknot techniques.
  • Handmade Tassel Keychain Workshop – Make stylish keychains with handmade tassels.
  • Trash to Treasure Hunters Workshop – Discover creative ways to repurpose waste materials into fashionable items.

Each workshop will be led by experienced designers and instructors, offering participants an opportunity to engage with sustainable practices and traditional crafts while creating their own unique pieces.

Exploring Hong Kong’s Sustainable Fashion Ecosystem

This year, the Fashion Summit (Hong Kong) will launch a special initiative called the "Hong Kong Art & Fashion Map." Featuring 21 selected hotspots, the map spans areas such as Central, Sheung Wan, and the West Kowloon Cultural District. These locations highlight sustainable fashion brands, retail stores, and cultural landmarks that support eco-friendly initiatives. The map serves as a guide for both locals and tourists to explore Hong Kong’s vibrant sustainable fashion scene.
