Where Is Lewis Burton Now?

A New Documentary Explores the Final Hours of Caroline Flack
Nearly six years after the passing of Caroline Flack, a new documentary titled Caroline Flack: Search for the Truth is shedding light on the final 24 hours of her life. The two-part film follows her grieving mother, Christine, as she delves into the events that led to her daughter’s tragic death.
In February 2020, Flack, a beloved presenter known for her role on Love Island, took her own life at the age of 40. This occurred after she learned that prosecutors would be pursuing an assault charge against her. Two months prior, she had struck her boyfriend, Lewis Burton, with a phone while he was sleeping, following the discovery of texts from another woman.
The documentary has sparked renewed interest in the events surrounding Flack’s death and has prompted reactions from those involved. Recently, Lewis Burton shared a post on social media claiming that there were “false accusations” about him in the documentary. His comments have added another layer of complexity to the ongoing discussion about what truly happened.

Following Flack’s death, Lewis took to social media to express his grief. In a heartfelt message, he wrote: “My heart is broken we had something so special.” He continued, “I am so lost for words I am in so much pain I miss you so much. I know you felt safe with me you always said I don’t think about anything else when I am with you and I was not allowed to be there this time I kept asking and asking.”
His tribute concluded with a promise: “I will be your voice baby I promise I will ask all the questions you wanted and I will get all the answers. Nothing will bring you back but I will try make you proud everyday. I love you with all my heart.”
Lewis Burton’s Life After Flack
Lewis Burton, now 32, is a former professional tennis player who has since transitioned into the luxury travel and hospitality industry. He runs a business called Twenty3Club, which curates exclusive VIP travel experiences.
Five months after Flack’s death in July 2020, Lewis confirmed that he was in a relationship with Lottie Tomlinson, a 25-year-old social media influencer and the younger sister of One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson. At the time of their meeting, Lottie was just 21, and they began dating after connecting at a party.
It was believed that the couple bonded over their shared experiences of loss, as Lottie had also lost her mother and sister within a short period.
A New Chapter in Lewis’s Life
In February 2022, the couple announced they were expecting a child together. Their son, Lucky Burton, was born on August 18. Later that year, on November 3, 2023, the couple shared a romantic Instagram video revealing their engagement. The video featured Lewis proposing to Lottie at their home, with a trail of red rose petals and candles leading up to the moment.
In January of this year, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Flossie Grace Burton. Lottie described her as the “most beautiful addition” to their family.
Lewis’s Public Statements About Flack
On March 16, 2020, a month after Flack’s death, Lewis posted a photo of her on social media with a heartfelt caption: “It’s already been a month I love and miss you so much. I never thought that one day I will never be able to see or speak to you again.”
He continued, “I wake up and think you’re going to be laying next to me or you’re going to call me in a minute. It just doesn’t seem real. I wish I could give you a kiss and a cuddle and say everything is going to be ok. I am so grateful I met you. I just want to make you proud. X.”
On the one-year anniversary of Flack’s death, Lewis made another emotional tribute on Instagram, sharing a selfie of them together with the caption: “1 year… I will never forget you.”
Lewis’s Response to the New Documentary
Lewis has remained largely silent on the matter, but recently, he took to Instagram to address the documentary. He wrote: “Out of respect, I’ve chosen to remain silent. However, the false accusations and online abuse directed toward me and my family has gone too far. I had hoped it would never come to this, but now I have no choice but to clarify the situation and share the truth.”
Despite his statements, Lewis has yet to explain what the “truth” is or how he plans to share this information. He was not interviewed for the documentary, although the director and producer mentioned that he was approached multiple times but declined to participate.
